In France there are three ways to Release Equity from your French home:

  2. An Equity Release Interest Only Mortgage whereby you pay interest on the Equity Release Loan but no capital repayments, so you need to be able to plan for the repayment of the loan from other sources.

  3. French Equity Release using a Viager Sale whereby you sell your property, which you continue to live in rent free, for a cash sum plus an annual income until you die at which point the buyer receives the title deeds to your property.

FRENCH EQUITY RELEASE MORTGAGE USING A FRENCH REPAYMENT EURO MORTGAGE

If you have sufficient ongoing income to make a monthly capital repayment and service the monthly interest payments on a French Equity Release Mortgage and wish to take a French Equity Release Mortgage on your French home this is likely to be your best option. If you temporarily lack income but can afford to service the monthly interest payments on a French Equity Release Mortgage and will be able to repay your French Equity Release Mortgage before your 80th birthday from a capital sum this may be the right French Equity Release Mortgage option for you.
